Runcast Weekly Podcast 17: Essentials of training, Part 1: Base Training, Carol Goodrow, founding editor of the Runner's World kids' page KidsRunning.com

Runcast Weekly #17 brought to you in part by Vitruvian Running shoes. I have been using Vitruvian Running shoes now for quite awhile now because they provide everything that I want in a shoe and nothing I don’t. You can check out Vitruvian Running shoes at www.vitruvianrunning.com and while your there, tell them Richard from Runcast Weekly sent you.

Today on the show we have the first part of an ongoing series on the essentials of training and we have another Runcast Weekly interview. This week’s interview is Carol Goodrow, founding editor of the Runner's World kids' page KidsRunning.com and author of book that my family has enjoyed a great deal, Happy Feet, Healthy Food.

I’ve had a lot of requests about essentials of a running program so I decided to start an ongoing segment, Essentials of Training. Part 1 is on base training, there will be many more to follow. So stay tuned.

Thank you to cjacks and their song Mohave Metro which has now become the into music for Runcast Weekly. You can find out more about cjacks at the podsafe music network at music.podshow.com.

Be sure to tune into the next Runcast weekly podcast where we will have part two of our essentials of running program segment and another Runcast Weekly interview. This interview will feature Mat Carpenter the record smashing winner of the 2005 Leadville 100 mile race. Until then keep putting one foot in front of the other and keep running the way it should be, simple.
