On Sunday February 19 2006 10,000 runners braved the frigid 30 degree temperature to toe the line at the Freescale Austin Marathon and half marathon.
I came across this documentary The Runner, some time back and right away I knew that I had to get the people responsible for the film on this podcast. This film is a documentary of David Horton’s attempt to break the speed record on the Pacific Crest Trail. A 2,700 mile trail from Mexico to Canada. David Hoton’s interview is coming, this Week we will speak to JB Benna from Journeyfilm.
The far reaching abilities of the podcast is amazing. I’m always amazed when I receive email from listeners outside of the U.S.A. Listen as I sit down and speak with a fellow runner/triathlete/author that lives right down the street from me, we met through an article in the local paper. You can find Ray’s book here “My Dad is a Ironman”
Here is the topic we have all been waiting for. Thanks to our good friends at journey films I have a copy of the runner DVD for one lucky listner. This is an incredible film, you will enjoy it. This is how the contest will work, visit www.journeyfilm.com and find the name of the composer of the runner documentary. The 5th email to runcastweekly@gmail.com with the correct answer on March 5 at 3:00 P.M. CST will win the Runner documentary.
Don’t forget we have one more week in the calling all artists contest where you the listener get to design the logo for the Runcast Weekly Podcast. Its your podcast, it only seems right that you get to decide how the podcast will look. Find out more by visiting www.runcastweekly.com.
