"The Best Run of Your Life"

Quoted from the RCW message board:
“My suggestion for a podcast topic might be... "the best runs of my life". Having been at this for a while... 'bout 27 years, and being a business traveler, I've run in some exotic, different, strange, and scenic (and scary!) places. Might make for an interesting pod cast or two if you were to solicit the stories from the many runners "out there." Most might only last for a minute or two, but many times when I've been pounding the pavement and those special memories come back to me and... well, give me a bit of encouragement to just keep going.” -Racer16

Excellent idea Racer 16! Starting with the next podcast, I will incorporate “The Best Runs of My Life” into the show.

How it works:
1. Call the Runcast Weekly Hotline by using any phone at 1-210-249-0463 or via Gizmo Project Call me on Gizmo

2. Leave a message

That’s it. That’s all it takes to be a part of the show. You can also use the Runcast Weekly Hotline to leave any type of message for the show. Record a race report, make a suggestion, tell how much you like or dislike the show, or even record your own segment. It’s up to you, you are in control, but remember that any message left on the voicemail may be used on the podcast.

I need your help to improve the ranking for Runcast Weekly, the original runcast, at Podcast Alley. It only takes a moment of your time to vote but it will help me tremendously. The ranking of podcasts on this site is determined by the total number of Votes a podcast has. Runcast Weekly could easily be the number one podcast in the sports category in no time, I've seen our subscriber numbers.

Runcast Weekly Podcast 17: Essentials of training, Part 1: Base Training, Carol Goodrow, founding editor of the Runner's World kids' page KidsRunning.com

Runcast Weekly #17 brought to you in part by Vitruvian Running shoes. I have been using Vitruvian Running shoes now for quite awhile now because they provide everything that I want in a shoe and nothing I don’t. You can check out Vitruvian Running shoes at www.vitruvianrunning.com and while your there, tell them Richard from Runcast Weekly sent you.

Today on the show we have the first part of an ongoing series on the essentials of training and we have another Runcast Weekly interview. This week’s interview is Carol Goodrow, founding editor of the Runner's World kids' page KidsRunning.com and author of book that my family has enjoyed a great deal, Happy Feet, Healthy Food.

I’ve had a lot of requests about essentials of a running program so I decided to start an ongoing segment, Essentials of Training. Part 1 is on base training, there will be many more to follow. So stay tuned.

Thank you to cjacks and their song Mohave Metro which has now become the into music for Runcast Weekly. You can find out more about cjacks at the podsafe music network at music.podshow.com.

Be sure to tune into the next Runcast weekly podcast where we will have part two of our essentials of running program segment and another Runcast Weekly interview. This interview will feature Mat Carpenter the record smashing winner of the 2005 Leadville 100 mile race. Until then keep putting one foot in front of the other and keep running the way it should be, simple.
