So where did the title of the blog come from and what is this all about?

I was watching
with one eye on the other side
I had fifteen people telling me to move
I got moving on my mind
I found shelter
In some thoughts turning wheels around....

One of the greatest bands to come out of the music scene in the last decade, the White Stripes represent a new approach to old methods and style to music. Not only do I like Hotel Yorba as a song but this first verse really speaks volumes about my place in the running scene.

As I become more experienced, I continue to keep an eye open to other areas of running. Looking to see how their techniques can be applied to my own training, I continually evaluate my methods and reconfigure my approach. Some people have questioned my approaches but Ive regularly back up all of this results. That is an important point in all that I will talk about on this blog, the right way...is your way. I'll be posting many ideas that I find to work for me but they may not work for others. The point I'm trying to make here is this: Whatever enables you to get from point A to point B, point B being a race goal, distance, or target pace, is ultimately the right path. Enjoy the journey and enjoy the challenges of clearing your own patch

SAFit 26.2: The Voice of the San Antonio Fit Marathon Training Program

The new podcast is complete and ready for your listening Pleasure. I still have to submit it to iTunes but I should have that complete for this weekend.

SAFit 26.2: The Voice of the San Antonio Fit Marathon Training Program

Website: www.sanantoniofit.com
Subscribe here: http://feeds.feedburner.com/SanAntonioFit262

As you can see this new podcast is a bit different than Runcast Weekly. It’s geared toward the participant of the San Antonio Fit group but I believe it will contain information to all of us that run. The Podcast will be published weekly and will include commentary by a variety of individuals within the SAFit group, playback of the weekly seminars, tips for completing your next marathon, and so much more.

If you don’t know about San Antonio Fit or USA Fit I would recommend visiting their perspective websites. I have been a part of San Antonio Fit for 3 years now and I would highly recommend it. The coaches are always great and quite frankly, it is just awesome to run with a hundred or so like minded people each weekend. Visit the USA Fit website to see if you have a group in your area.

Blah, blah, blah, and blah

I realize that is all my words are worth at this point. For months I have been talking about the new podcast format and amazingly a few listeners managed to stand by awaiting my return. I would like to thank everyone that has waited and also I would like to apologize for my lack of performance. I could sit hear and go on with my excuses for not putting out a new podcast but what’s the point really? It won’t change the fact that I didn’t fulfill my promises; therefore, I will not waste your time.

I can tell you that I will have a great, new podcast soon. How soon? By mid-August. I have agreed to put together a weekly podcast for a running related organization. There will be many people participating in the podcast, so there should be something for everyone in the new Runcast. Training tips, nutrition, and all things in between will be included in this exciting new podcast.

Does this mark the end of Runcast Weekly? Well, I think the end of Runcast Weekly has come and gone. I had a great time producing this podcast but I’m afraid that it is time to place it in the archives. Thank you to everyone that participated in making Runcast Weekly a success. I truly appreciate it.

If you would like to be notified when the new podcast is available, please email me at Runcastweekly@gmail.com.
